Your favourite race and climb?
Giro D’italia and Passo dello Stelvio, not raced this iconic climb or race yet, but in the future, I hope to. It carries so much culture and just looks such a spectacle to a part of.
What are your personal ambitions for the season?
My ambitions are to find the best of me on the bike again, race well, win races, learn and support my teammates when needed.
Growing up, did you always know you wanted to be a pro cyclist, or did you have a passion for other sports?
I was a late starter in the sport, starting at the age of 16, I began due to knee injury which stopped me playing high impact sports. Prior to finding myself on a road bike, I was a keen long-distance runner, footballer and cricketer.
What did you learn from you first Grand Tour at La Vuelta?
I learnt a lot from the experienced riders on the team, to focus each day, maintain position in the peloton throughout, importantly doing a solid block of race days before this winter will compliment me going into 2021.
What are your thoughts on the Merida Scultura you will be racing this season?
It is a great bike, very light, stiff and reactive, I enjoy racing on it.
