Team Bahrain Victorious is set to continue its Belgian campaign with a motivated squad heading into Grand Prix Criquielion (March 8) and GP Jean-Pierre Monseré (March 9). After a promising showing at Le Samyn, the team remains focused on development, with a blend of WorldTour and development riders eager to gain more valuable racing experience on the Belgian roads.
Sports Director Borut Bozic reflected on the team’s progress, saying:
“Le Samyn was a good race for us. We are still learning and developing with this group of riders, but they are highly motivated. These races are another great opportunity to continue that progression.”
For Grand Prix Criquielion, the team will line up with Bruttomesso, Ermakov, Erzen, Skerl, Van Mechelen, Borgo, and Stockwell. Borgo, a development rider, will ride both races, gaining crucial experience at this level. Huysmans, also from the development team, comes into the squad for GP Jean-Pierre Monseré, replacing Ermakov. With both courses covering around 200km, it will be a demanding weekend for the young riders as they continue to develop for the intensity of the Belgian classics. Bruttomesso and Skerl will be the team’s key riders if the races come down to a sprint, while Van Mechelen will be looking to follow key moves.
