It was another day of crashes at the Tour de France as Bahrain Victorious race leader Jack Haig was involved in a crash in last 5 kilometers of Stage 3.
Haig started the Tour in fine form following the two top-ten finishes and was placed 6th in the GC. It’s been a crash marred Tour up until now, with several GC favorites losing time off the back of crashes.
Haig was taken in an ambulance to Hospital Centre Bretagne. Team Doctor Piotr Kosielski commented: “Jack suffered a fractured left collarbone and concussion following the crash. He is conscious and okay and scans showed no head trauma. He will remain in hospital overnight for observation following the team and UCI protocols.”
