HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa welcomed stage winner and Giro d’Italia podium finisher Damiano Caruso in Bahrain.

Damiano was congratulated for his efforts over the 21-stage race that covered 3,410.9 kilometres. Caruso was not the initial plan for the General Classification as he went into the race to support Mikel Landa. After Landa’s crash on stage five, Damiano Caruso became the story of the Giro, with a magical stage win on Stage 20 and a podium finish in the GC.

HH Shaikh Nasser praised Damiano’s performance and Bahrain Victorious’ success at the Giro. The team continued the momentum at the Dauphine, where the team won three out of eight stages and secured the Green and KOM jerseys.
