Bahrain Victorious Set for Dwars door Vlaanderen

The last race ahead of the Tour of Flanders is the 76th edition of Dwars door Vlaanderen. The 183.7km classic starts in Roeselare and ends in Waregem.

As the final rehearsal for the second monument of the season, Dwars retains its compact nature with plenty of cobbled sections. However, this year the course has undergone some changes. After Berg Ten Houte, the riders will now head to Kanarieberg, and the race also features two new climbs, the Zeelstraat and Stooktestraat.

The team has been successful and in the top ten in the previous three races here in Belgium. Sports Director Michał Gołaś shared his thoughts ahead of the race: ” We’ve shown good form here at the classics, and for tomorrow we’ve got the opportunity to race a bit differently as we don’t have a specific leader, and we will try to race aggressively and race hard in the middle part.

We’ve also got options in the sprint with Heino and Fred. Jan will be a key guy alongside Jasha, who is getting better, and it will be the last test before the big race on Sunday, the Tour of Flanders. Overall, the team is in good shape, and we are hoping for a good race that prepares us well for Sunday.”
