Bahrain Victorious Japanese rider Yukiya Arashiro became Road National Champion for the third time, winning a two-man sprint in Mihara after 184.5km.

The new Japanese Champion comments: “I was competing without teammates, and road racing is not easy to win alone in any case.
Every rider marked and attacked me because they could work as a team. But I got the support of excellent staff, who helped me in this race. I want to thank each one so much. Thanks for the significant amount of support I received from my fans too.
I faced the race with a strong feeling and motivation. I was looking forward to wearing the Japanese champion jersey in the European races. So I’m delighted to have achieved this goal. This jersey will also be an extra motivation to run well in Europe!
And I’m looking forward to seeing what kind of design the Alé Japanese champion of Bahrain Victorious will be.”
