Matej Mohoric and Fred Wright enter the Bahrain Victorious lineup for the E3 Saxo Classic, the first test ahead of the “Ronde van Vlaanderen”. The 204.1 km route is the perfect rehearsal ahead of the monument as it features several of the same climbs.

Starting and finishing in Harelbeke, the riders will take on 17 hills (hellingen); including the famous Kapelberg, Paterberg and Oude Kwaremont, finishing with the Tiegemberg, at 183.9km before the fast final towards the flat finish.

SD Poitschke is confident Matej can challenge at E3: “This is the first real preparation for the Ronde van Vlaanderen, and we saw that Matej has been in excellent condition in the last weeks. He will be there to fight for victory, and we will try to get a good result. Fred Wright also comes into the lineup, and he has shown what he is capable of in these races.”
