Tuesday, 1st September 2020 – Phil Bauhaus sprints to third place on the first stage of the Settimana Internazionale Coppi and Bartali won by the young Dutchman Olav Kooij in Gatteo.

“It was a tough day – explained the German sprinter – we controlled the race from the beginning, and my teammates did a great job pulling on the front all day. In the end, I was in a perfect position for the sprint, but unfortunately, I didn’t have the legs to win the other guys who were faster than me. I know it’s a good result, but I’m a bit disappointed because I wanted to win for the team today”.
